What the practice
takes on.
Residences
-
Lighting design
Complete lighting design for new construction and remodels, concept through construction: layered light for how each room is lived in, documented fully, and coordinated with your architect and builder through final focus.
-
Shading and solar
Automated shading designed from the sun's actual geometry on your site: seasonal studies, shade zoning and fabric selection, and details resolved with the architecture so shades belong to the building.
-
Scenes and controls
Lighting, shading, and temperature choreographed into scenes that follow the day, delivered as the zoning plans, scene tables, and programming specifications your integrator builds from, then tuned with you after dark.
-
Landscape and exterior
Gardens, terraces, and facades designed as rooms in their own right: trees lit with restraint, paths carried without glare, and the balance held so windows stay windows after dark.
Commercial
-
Architectural lighting
Lighting design for workplaces, hospitality, and common spaces: layered design, full documentation, energy-code compliance, and controls intent, coordinated cleanly with your engineers.
-
Daylight and glare studies
Simulation-backed daylight analysis: annual solar exposure, glare at workstations and sightlines, and automated shading logic, presented with the metrics reviewers expect and in language owners can decide from.
-
Controls and commissioning
Sequences of operations for lighting and shading, scene and schedule documentation, and functional testing at handover, so the building behaves the way the drawings promised.
For the trade
-
With architects and interior designers
A design layer that sits inside your set: we join at concept or design development, draw in your conventions, and stay through final focus. Your client, our documentation, confidential as a default.
-
With integrators
We work for you directly, on new projects and on systems already installed. Scene books and programming specifications your programmer can enter without interpretation: levels and fades, warm-dim targets, shade presets, keypad layouts, schedules. You keep the client and the contract; the system finally feels designed.
-
The scene tune-up
For the houses in your book that never got a design phase. We study how the house is actually lived in, redesign the scenes and schedules, and hand you the book to reprogram from. A contained engagement, immediate result, and the callback becomes a service visit you bill.
We design and document. We do not sell fixtures, shades, or control hardware, and we take no dealer commissions. Our only interest is that the design works.
